Miss Whiplash: Don’t give unfettered access to your photo library

I am as guilty of anyone for agreeing to allow access to location services when I download a new app. But I have had second thoughts since reading this article on AppleInsider. It seems I could be giving the app carte blanche to upload my entire photo library. They wouldn’t find my library salacious or even interesting, but it’s still a worry. Miss Whiplash beware.
