Increased over-air-download size is mixed blessing

We should be glad to hear that the over-air app download limit is to increase from the current 20 MB to 50 MB as reported in Macstories. Nonetheless, it is a mixed blessing for those of us on limited data plans. True “unlimited” plans are few and far between and most customers in the UK are working on 500 MB or, at most, 1GB. There is some inbuilt protection in the 20 MB limit, but it will be very easy for the unwary to bump up their data usage from now on. It’s something we will all need to watch.
