Yesterday I bumped into a Sony RX100 owner who had customised the little camera with a retro leather-look skin from Japan. I was impressed and guessed, wrongly, that this was some kind of expensive job done by a specialist.
Nigel, the camera’s owner, told me that the kit costs just over £10 and arrived from Japan in just a few days. He found the adhesive material easy to fit. The mottled surface of the skin adds to the grip of the RX which, otherwise, is a rather slipper little beast. All the cutouts are in the right place and there is even a neat window to display the Zeiss badge. I was very impressed by the quality of the finished camera which is now looks much better than the naked original.
