The annual Boat Race between Oxford and Cambridge Universities goes past spectators in a flash. Today Oxford was way out in front on the way to the most convincing win since 1973―so much so that it was impossible to get one shot of the two teams in tandem. But I always find the tailing flotilla of launches visually impressive and a suitable target for this snap with the Sony A7r and Leica 90mm APO-Summicron. Here go the great and good of the Oxbridge world, the press, officials and assorted hangers on. The course lies between Putney and Mortlake on the Thames in West London and stretches for 4.2 miles.
