The successful micro four thirds Olympus OM-D EM-1 camera gets a facelift at Photokina ― but it’s just a cosmetic update as the previously all-black model is joined by a silver and black version. More interesting is the firmware update that brings tethering, in-camera lens distortion correction and preview of long exposures, a feature already incorporated in the EM-10 model. The update also brings reduced EVF lag, a new remote shooting mode and a couple of art and movie effect modes.
Olympus has also announced a weather-resistant M.Zuiko ED 40-150mm f/2.8 pro lens which complements the existing 12-40 zoom that has proved a perfect companion for the EM-1 camera.
