Thomas Stanworth, the Photo Fundamentalist blogger, has some intriguing insights into the relative resolution of the current M9-based Leica Monochrom and the Sony A7r. He has been experimenting with the two cameras in conjunction with a variety of lenses: The Monochrom with the old 35mm f/2.5 Summarit and Zeiss 50mm f/2 ZM Planar, the Sony with the Zeiss 35mm f/2.8 Sonnar and the Zeiss 55mm f/1.8 Sonnar.
