Wrist Straps: Rope komboloi straps from Greece now at Red Dot Cameras

Last month I showed you the red rope wrist strap manufactured in Athens by my friend Evris Papanikolas. Named after the traditional Greek beads, the Komboloi, these straps are made from super-strong climbing rope and have a unique leather sliding adjustment to fit your wrist. I prefer using a wrist strap for mirrorless cameras and the Komboloi is one of the best I have tried.

Everyone seems to love them, including Ivor Cooper of Red Dot Cameras. So from today he is stocking the Komboloi in three colours, black, red and brown at an attractive price of£28 each. Personally I think the red goes well with a Leica but I intend to get one of each colour so I can have a change from time to time. Click here if you would like to order one from Red Dot.

These straps go well with every Leica, including the M, various X models, the D-Lux and the new Leica Q. They are comfortable on the wrist and offer a high degree of security because the loop can be drawn in to the diameter of the wrist.

Note that the top picture shows a Bordeaux-coloured Komboloi. The red, as shown in the Red Dot image, is nearer to a Leica red and is the colour you will get.
