Beautiful sky this afternoon, I thought. So out came the Leica X1 from my pocket and I snapped the lowering clouds as they lowered towards a furious ten-minute burst of rain. But what about those two dreadful sky-high cranes to centre right? It seems that wherever you point your camera in London (or many other cities throughout the world) these days there is a colony of cranes nesting in plain sight. The City of London is especially blighted. Not only are they an eyesore, they stay there for months as the building blocks are hauled into place for a new office block or a smart new development of houses or flats.
Who will rid me of these troublesome cranes? Discuss, without mentioning Photoshop because that’s cheating.
