Every year Japanese culture and food invades London’s Trafalgar Square. It’s sushi under the watchful gaze of Admiral Lord Nelson. Saturday was the annual Japan Matsuri festival and I went along with the Leica Q to grab a few snaps for the record.

Hey Mike! I’m the girl in the colorful kimono ensemble – usually I attend such events in cosplay, so that was an off-duty day for me and I’m glad the photos turned out well 🙂
Hope you enjoyed the sights and sounds of Matsuri (along with the food if you got the chance!)
Carol, thanks for your comments and, yes, I did enjoy the festival. There was certainly a lot of interest from a photographer’s point of view. If you send me a private email (use the "contact" link on the main page of the blog) I will return a full-size copy of the photograph. Are you the seventh photo down, holding the phone and with the green/red hat? There is another photo lower down that could fit the description.
Mike
Nice work Mike. Very sharp images. You’ve had the Q for a while now – are they letting you keep it?
Hope springs eternal. First I need to take it to Hong Kong next month to test my theory that it is a great travel camera. D-Lux for spare, possibly.
Oh, and thanks for the comment, much appreciated.
