I am always amused that with no more than 20 yards of London’s flagship Apple Store in Covent Garden is this alternative Apple establishment. It’s been snapped many times, not least by me, but this shot is slightly unusual, a makeweight, because I was finishing off the roll of Tri-X Professional in the M6 TTL. The lens attached was my pristine 1962 50mm rigid Summicron which has acquitted itself well.
Frames 35 and 36 are always a challenge and it’s tempting to point the camera at a blank wall just to have done with it before rushing off to the darkroom or Snappy Snaps.
Here we have not only the Apple Market but, just inside the entrance, the type foundry. Could this be where Apple found San Francisco, I wonder?
