Apart from the trees and the busloads of blue-shirted staff, the most remarkable thing about this new iteration of Apple Stores is the lack of tethering. As far as I can see, anyone could just pick up and iPad and walk off with it. There were Apple Pencils lying around for anyone to scoop up. I have no doubt there is some fiendish security which raises the alarm of a display product passes the door. Finally, you realise the trademark glass staircases have disappeared in favour of much more tasteful marble steps.

Looks like some vision of hell conjured up by Hieronymous Bosch. I hope that the ‘artist’ called Sean Ryan was one of ours getting a few bob from Apple. I also hope that you enjoyed the event.
