John Shingleton has snapped his local firework display, in Terrigal, NSW, with the Leica Q. It’s already 2018 in the far Pacific and John will be celebrating in a couple of hours from now. Happy New Year to all Macfilos readers, whether in New South Wales — that hotbed of Leica X1 users — or dotted around the world as the year approaches.

  1. Dave, we watched the fireworks from our balcony so were unaware of the barge fire until daybreak . All well and despite drama everyone seems to have enjoyed themselves.
    Happy new year to you and one of my ny resolutions is no more cameras so even a replacement X will not tempt me.

  2. I see Terrigal has made the uk news with a barge fire during the firework display at midnight. Hope all are ok John.

  3. Nice Image John, Happy New Year everyone. Here’s hoping that 2018 brings you all that wish for. Maybe even a Leica X replacement.. 🙂
