It doesn’t seem possible that it is ten years since Ivor and Elaine Cooper opened their small Leica shop in Old Street in the City of London. After years working in the camera trade, many of them selling Leica, Ivor took the decision to fly solo — a move that has proved highly successful. Red Dot, now in much larger premises round the corner in Goswell Road, is now perhaps Britain’s biggest and most successful Leica retailer.
This month, to celebrate that anniversary, the store is offering the chance to win one of ten prizes to anyone who spends £100 or more in the store during the month.
First prize is a three-day trip to the Leica factory in Wetzlar. This is supported by a consultanct with Metro Imaging and a subsequent exhibition in the store; a Manfrotto BeFree travel tripod; a Billingham Hadley large system bag; a £200-pack of Steyning’s photographic books; a Leica D-Lux camera; an A&A black silk camera strap; a Cooph hoodie jacket; a £150 store voucher and, finally, a Leica merchandise goody back worth over £150.

All you have to do is visit the store (in person or on line) and spend at least £100 before the end of February.

Thanks to everyone for their good wishes – Ivor, Elaine and all at Red Dot Cameras.
Happy Ten Year anniversary – and thank you for my wonderful X. Keep up the excellent service, and look forward to the twenty year anniversary.
Congrats to Ivor, Elaine and their team. They are among the really good guys in the ‘Leica World’ and really helped me when I started collecting vintage Leicas.
William
