LHSA Annual Meeting zooms in to your home

It’s a big commitment for many members to get to the International Leica Society’s annual meetings. I attended my last one in 2018, fortunately almost on my doorstep in Wetzlar. It is not always as easy, though, as the annual meeting moves around the world.

This year, thanks to Covid, members can take part in the LHSA Annual Meeting without budging from their armchairs. The event takes place over two half days on Friday, October 9 and Saturday, October 10. Among the principal speakers will be Leica’s Peter Karbe, the man who designed almost all the modern M, TL and SL lenses.

You can find the programme schedule here.

Peter Karbe (with microphone) will make a presentation at the forthcoming LHSA Annual Meeting. Seen here at Wetzlar in 2018.

MacFilos readers will be glad to know that our own William Fagan is due to be welcomed to the LHSA board and he will have a special brief to look after membership in Europe.

There is still time to register for the Zoom sessions and you can do so here.

  1. Thanks Mike. The LHSA, while it originated in the US, is now The International Leica Society. As a Board member I will be involved in various initiatives here and elsewhere to provide a greater range of services for members outside the US, starting with Europe. Leica AG is supportive of the organisation and we will be working together to provide a great range of added value services. If you are already a member of the LHSA expect to hear from us soon about what you would like to have by way of such services and events.

    William
