Every year for the past decade, Emma Slack has been rallying the strangest of road vehicles — no less than an agricultural tractor with a touch of pink. The Ladies’ Pink Tractor Run in south Norfolk, has become a fun-filled fund-raiser with support from the local farming community in particular.

Husband Jonathan, well known to MacFilos readers as a Leica beta tester, asks if readers could help by supporting Emma in her efforts to aid research into breast cancer through Cancer Research UK.

As he points out, he writes his Leica articles for the benefit of the Leica community and gets absolutely no financial reward.
So if you’ve enjoyed anything he’s written – or if you’ve found it useful — please consider making a donation to Emma’s Pink Tractor Run in aid of Breast Cancer Research.
Many thanks in advance – it’s a great cause!

A cup of coffee works wonders in supporting Macfilos
Did you know that Macfilos is run by a dedicated team of volunteers? We rely on donations to help pay our running costs. And even the cost of a cup of coffee will do wonders for our energy levels.
All the attraction?
The attraction is lots and lots of work, a wonderful emotional and fun day, and lots of money raised for Breast Cancer Research (over 800,000 so far!)
Or am I missing the point?
You miss no point. Also pink is exotic in some manner. Attractive ain’t
I did miss it George . . . but I’ve got it now!
That’s a good alternative title, George.
Thank you so much for posting this Mike – it’s a fantastic cause and an exciting day.
If there is anyone in East Anglia, then the picnic field at Gawdy Hall is a great event. The Tractors come through Harleston about 12, and reach the picnic site about 1.
For my sins, I’m the official photographer!
Thank you to anyone who donates!
It’s a pleasure, Jono… How did we guess you were the official photographer?
