I saw a YouTube video yesterday of Matt Day, he confirmed that since installing the latest firmware he has had no more freezes which is obviously good news.
Any improvement via firmware is to be applauded. The Fotos App has been significantly improved, so I thank you Leica! I am old enough, and experienced enough to remember when the manufacturers of analogue cameras did little to nothing to address problems with their products, so I welcome the ‘new world’ of digital enhancement.
WLAN connection will now work correctly
Camera error which caused the camera to freeze fixed
Other errors fixed
Firmware to fix errors.Yippee! But, remember when cameras worked fine out of the box, sometimes for 50 years or so without fuss.? These days they are all firmware dependent and release the camera with all kinds of design quirks that they will fix later.
Some will say, it’s an advantage because you can get new features, but that’s only an advantage if it’s something you want. No guarantee either, that something else will not function after updating and you have to deal with making sure you retain all your settings.
My camera is working fine so I’ll leave it alone. 🙂
