Leica has announced a firmware update 2.7.5.0 for the three members of the current Leica M10 family, including the M10-P and M10-D. The files are available for download now, but make sure you get the right one since there appear to be three separate versions.

From the information below, it seems that the only difference between the three models is that the M10-D does not generate the QR code for Leica FOTOS, probably because there ain’t no screen to display nothing.

M10-D updates

  • Fast continuous shooting in Live View mode.
Fixed screen freeze issue in ‘Continuous High’ mode, while using Live View.
  • Incorrect regional GPS information.
There were regional deviations in the GPS information. This bug has been fixed. (Please Note: GPS functionality requires the use of the Leica Visoflex EVF).
  • Stability of the connection between the camera and Leica FOTOS.Fixed connection issue between camera and app with more than 800 images on the camera.
  • General software improvements for operating stability.
