The latest addition to the Billingham range, the Billingham Ten-16, is tailor-made for compact cameras such as the Leica D-Lux 8 and FujiFilm’s perennially popular X100 series. It promises to be a convenient day bag for travel and features a leather carrying strap in a departure from Billingham’s usual fabric straps.
Ten-16: No compromise
The Ten-16 provides ample storage space for a compact camera along with essential accessories. Moreover, It is padded to protect the equipment and includes an internal pocket to accommodate smaller items such as memory cards, cables, or even a smartphone.
Billingham claims that the company has had many requests over the years for a compact bag which doesn’t compromise on protection yet offers the flexibility of portability. True to Billingham’s heritage, the Ten-16 represents a timeless desire that blends form and function.
Colour combinations
The Billingham Ten-16 is available in four fabric and colour combinations:
- Khaki canvas with tan leather
- Sage FibreNyte with chocolate leather
- Black FibreNyte with black leather
- Burgundy Canvas with chocolate leather.
The premium leather and brass fittings add a touch of luxury and, in typical Billingham style, help ensure the bag will be long lasting. In a departure from normal practice, the bag features a leather carrying strap. The company says this offers exceptional durability, and over time, will acquire a patina that creates a distinctive look.
Traditional engineering
According to the manufacturer, the materials, stitching and padding are selected and engineered to provide the best performance. And at the same time, the bag maintains the traditional aesthetics for which the brand is known.
The Ten-16, which is also ideal for a small pair of binoculars, measures 140×185×90 on the outside. Internally, the Ten-16 is 65mm (front) and 90 (rear) wide. Height is 150mm (front) and 185mm (back). Depth is 70mm and the capacity is 0.7L. The bag weighs just 330g.
The Billingham Ten-16 suggested price is £129 | €127 | $142. These prices include tax in the UK and EU but exclude tax in the USA.
