Bing v Google: Competition mounts

A few weeks ago I mentioned that some months ealier I had changed my Safari default search engine from Google to Bing. It’s not that I have anything in particular against Google, but I thought it would be interesting to see what Bing has to offer.

So far it’s been business as usual and I had almost forgotten the decision. I certainly don’t feel short-changed by Bing. I was reminded when I saw this interesting post by Pietro Montalcino at Macography.net. Below, I’ve reproduced the same rather stunning infographic from OnlineDegrees.com.

It looks like Bing has a way to go but is making good progress, with a number of market-leading partners such as Facebook, Yahoo, Baidu and, of course, MSN. Google provides searches for AOL, CompuServe (that’s a blast from the past if ever there were one) and Netscape. All very interesting stuff.
