Can an 11in MacBook Air compete with a 2008 Mac Pro on performance and usability? On the face of, the answer must be a resounding no. But things aren’t so clear cut, as Don McAllister found when he decided to try.

Impressed by the read/write speed of the SSD in his MacBook Air, Don got to wondering how Apple’s smallest Macbaby would stack up against the 2008 Mac Pro that he has used for his work up to now. He’s The Mac Screencast Guy and his job involves lots of processor-intensive video editing.
