Low-end cameras got another drubbing this evening as Apple’s Phil Schiller outlined the new camera capabilities of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The latest devices get an all-new eight Megapixel sensor, an new f/2.2 five-element lens and phase detection autofocus which is claimed to be twice as fast as that on the existing iPhone 5S. The end is nigh for the cheap camera.
Oh…..and in-phone optical image stabilisation.
