When I started using the new Leica D-Lux 7 I assumed there would be no problems with Lightroom compatibility because the camera’s sister Panasonic LX100 Mark II had been on the market for some months. But there were problems as I outlined in this previous article

All is now well. Lightroom has issued an update that solves the D-Lux 7 compatibility as well as adding the Leica M10-D and M10-P to the list.

  1. True it has all been updated for anyone who pays for Lightroom or Lightroom CC via a monthly subscription, but not for those of us who bought and paid outright for our copy in good faith prior to Adobe deciding it would no longer support us after version 6.

    • Sadly, Don, Adobe isn’t out of step in moving to a subscription model. It is a trend among software developers and is gradually taking over. Almost all the applications I use regularly are now on annual subscription and I can’t do anything about it. There are alternatives, of course, just as there are to Adobe, but the premier applications can now charge what they wish. The world is moving from outright purchase to subscription.
