Macfilos is back with a busy schedule and, soon, with a new look

Macfilos is back in flow later today, with news of a significant product announcement. Have you missed us? During our break over the past couple of weeks, we have been working hard to build up a stockpile of articles we hope you will find interesting. Whether you like gear reviews, street photography, travelogues, photo exhibitions, or perhaps even some science fiction, we have something lined up for you.

The Macfilos team has been taking a busman’s holiday. We may not have been posting articles, but we have been writing them, at a more leisurely pace, of course. We’ll kick off with two new L-Mount product announcements later today, and then dive into an exploration of L-Mount prime lens offerings tomorrow [Note: We have rescheduled this because it would have meant three consecutive articles on lenses, which is perhaps a bit much. The L-Mount article will appear later].

During our break, each member of the team has been pursuing a number of personal photography projects. It seems there is always something new to learn about the world of photography. We look forward to sharing news of these over the coming weeks. If you have likewise been breaking new photographic ground over the summer, you have an open invitation to tell us about it via a Macfilos article.

Time to freshen up

As well as compiling stories, the team has also been working on a complete new look for the site. We had hoped to announce that Macfilos is back with that new-look today, but we’ve encountered some teething problems. What a surprise! It will be an exciting transition (at least for us… your mileage may differ) and we look forward to hearing your views upon launch.

So, let’s get ready for an Autumn of photography action. We expect at least two new cameras from Leica and, possibly, an entirely new type of camera before the end of the year. Buckle your seatbelts, and we promise not to Fall off our perches.
