Leica Camera and Capture One Announce Cooperation: tethered shooting with the Leica S3 and the Leica SL2 now available with Capture One 21 Pro

Wetzlar, 8 December 2020. Leica Camera is pleased to announce a new partnership with Capture One, the award-winning photo editing software which, for the first time, supports tethered shooting on the Leica S3 and Leica SL2 with the newly launched Capture One 21 Pro.

Long-awaited by professional photographers and photography enthusiasts alike, Capture One allows users to tether their Leica camera to a computer by cable, importing images instantly into the software. The camera can also be operated via the computer, giving owners of the Leica S3 and SL2 full access to the high-performance editing options of Capture One 21 Pro.

As part of the collaboration, Capture One updated their software to make it fully compatible and tailored to the Leica S3 and Leica SL2 systems. Working with Capture One 21 Pro, photographers can reach the full potential of their Leica camera and achieve outstanding results and image quality.

The new software offers advantages such as a powerful colour editor as well as a user-friendly interface that can easily be adapted to the photographer’s requirements; it includes improved import options, simple brush tool settings and the new pro standard colour profiles which prevent colour shifting when making changes to the contrast.

On 10 December 2020, Capture One will release an update to support the Leica S (Typ 007) and SL (Typ 601); Live View support for Leica cameras will be added in 2021. Leica S (Typ 007) will have preliminary Generic DNG profile support and full Capture One native support will be added in 2021.

Capture One 21 Pro will be available to purchase in Leica Stores and online with an RRP of £299 for the full version and £180 for the bundle version.
